EverNew Water-based Primer is a water based adhesion promoter developed by LFPA to improve the bonding of colour coats to leather substrates. Cleverly formulated to prepare the surface without altering the natural feel or flexibility of the leather, it creates an effective bonding layer that promotes strong, long lasting adhesion of EverNew leather colours and finishes.

Is a water-based primer strong enough to ensure proper adhesion?

EverNew Water-Based Primer is designed to provide reliable adhesion while being easier and safer to work with than solvent-based alternatives. It effectively bonds the colour coat to the substrate in most standard applications, making it ideal where strong adhesion is needed without the aggressiveness of solvent primers.

When should this be used instead of a solvent-based primer?

Water-based primers are to be used on leather and are not suitable for synthetics. Solvent primers can be used on all substrates.
