Prep Wash is a powerful leather cleaning and surface preparation agent designed for professional repair, cleaning, and refinishing work. It effectively removes built-up dirt, body oils, silicones, old dressings, and surface contaminants while opening the leather’s pores to promote proper adhesion of dyes, pigments, and other coatings. Ideal for use prior to colouring, repair, or protective treatments, Prep Wash ensures a clean, properly prepared surface for consistent and long-lasting results.

Directions

Apply liberally with a soft cloth in a circular motion to the soiled area or stubborn stain. Repeat as required.

Is this strong enough to properly prepare the surface before refinishing?

EverNew Prep Wash is a water-based, high-strength cleaner designed to remove dirt, oils and light contaminants while safely preparing the surface for refinishing. While it is less aggressive than solvent-based products, it is highly effective for most prep work where full stripping is not required.

When should this be used instead of a stronger solvent-based prep product?

It is recommended on most projects, LP1 green solvent is used in badly soiled areas. Prep wash will be sufficient for most repairs.

Is this suitable for repeated use during cleaning and prep stages?

It is designed for regular repeated use. Usually damage occurs with excessive rubbing.
